Creative Collaboration

Living in Seattle, often seen as a “non-creative city”, makes it easy to feel like we’re missing out on opportunities available in places where the industry is more active. Sometimes, we need a reminder that incredible people and the ability to create can be found anywhere. A few months ago, we had the idea to bring together a team of creatives to highlight just that.

Creative Brief

To kick start this project our team spent a considerable amount of time outlining what the details of this project would consist of and began building the team to execute it.

  • We wanted to create a project that fell in line with our brand and could potentially inspire others like us in the creative space.

    What we came up with:

“We all want to make something happen, but we often lack the confidence to do it because we have been told that we need better qualification, or live in a different area, or know different people. In reality, all we need is to surround ourselves with people who want to create. A project like this elevates you to the next level and helps you build the confidence for the next one.”

  • To better assist our concept, we figured a team that consists of people who have not met before or lack direct production experience would be the best route. Our team of 15 consisted of:

Director, DP, Cinematographer, Gaffer, Set, Film Stills, Stylist, Hair, Makeup, Wardrobe, Color, BTS film & Photo.

  • We worked with our set designer in bringing the set to life. We collaborated with Throwbacks Northwest, a vintage clothing shop located on Capitol Hill, that provided our wardrobe to stylist.

We started our production day off by taking 10 minutes to introduce ourselves and explain what each role was there to do.

From start to finish we documented as much as we possibly could from model prep to final images produced.

Outcome:

Our goal going into this project was not to necessarily create a visual masterpiece. Instead, we simply hoped that this project would build confidence and encourage those involved to keep on in their pursuit.

We received a ton of great feedback from our team saying that this project was one of their favorites they had worked on.

We also received stellar feedback through social media and expressed interest in working with our team in the future.
